New Delhi: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped and looted in the ladies coach of a moving train near Shahdara by three men in the on Saturday.The incident took place in Jan Nayak Express when it was on its way to Old Delhi.

According to Police,"Five women were travelling in the ladies coach and four of them later deboarded the train at Shahdara railway station. At Shahdara, three men boarded the ladies coach. Two men looted her belongings and fled away while the third man allegedly raped her."

Later, two Railway Protection Constables boarded the train and saw the man trying to sexually assault the woman. Woman in order to safe herself bit the private parts of the accused.

When the train reached Old Delhi Railway Station, the man and the woman were taken to the nearby hospital.

  • The accused was identified as Shahbaz (25).
  • Shahbaz and others have been booked under various sections of law.
  • She came to Delhi to attend a family function.
  • The woman is a resident of Bihar's Darbhanga district.
