With the change in weather, winter has started showing its effects in many parts of the country. Light fog was seen on Thursday morning in many states including the country's capital Delhi-NCR, Bihar, UP, Rajasthan.

Mercury has dropped to 11 degrees in Delhi. People are now coming out of their homes wearing warm clothes.

According to IMD, today a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Coastal Odisha, Coastal Gangetic West Bengal, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.

Now the cold has started in the capital Delhi. Light fog has started appearing in NCR. The humidity level in the air was recorded from 43 to 100 percent. The minimum temperature in Delhi is likely to be 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to be 27 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded in the capital yesterday was 27.4 degrees Celsius, which was 1 degree Celsius less than normal. The minimum temperature was 10.9 degrees Celsius, which was 3 degrees less than normal.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain with strong wind. Wind speed ranging from 50-60 km per hour to 70 km per hour is expected in the north-west sea adjacent to the West Central Bay of Bengal. There is a possibility of strong winds along the coasts of Tamil Nadu, South-West Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka adjacent to the Gulf of Mannar. In such a situation, fishermen have been appealed not to go to these areas.

Along with rain, there is also a possibility of lightning and storm.
