Why is wearing Mask necessary even after arrival of covid vaccine?

New Delhi: It will still take a long time for the vaccine to be launched, its good and bad side effects. In such a situation, people must wear masks and maintain physical distance for at least three years. Even after the vaccine, everyone has to take precaution.

Mask is a new normal even if vaccine arrives:

Oxford and AstraZeneca together with the company Serum Institute is developing a vaccine called Covishield. Apart from this, indigenous vaccines are also being made by Biotech. The Director General of the Indian Council of Science and Research, Dr. Shekhar Mande has given this information.

Trials are on in country:

The results of tests of these two vaccines on Indians will be better understood. After the trial is over, all companies must submit a report to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). They will assess the risk benefit. Most trials of the vaccine being prepared by the Moderna and Pfizer companies are taking place abroad.

Pfizer asked for emergency permit:

If the news is to be believed, in its application filed to the drug regulator, the company has requested for approval regarding the import and distribution of vaccines in the country.

Apart from this, under the special provisions of the Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019, the population of India also requested to exempt from clinical trials.

Even if they are successful there, they will have to get permission from CDSCO, living up to the Indian standards. Of course, all the vaccine companies of the country and the world have prepared extensively. As soon as the tests are over and CDSCO's approval, they will be able to prepare and launch the vaccine on a large scale in the market.

This entire process can take time. Moderna and Pfizer will also have to submit test reports as per the standards here. In the wake of the pandemic, even if permission is granted on the basis of testing conducted in Europe or America, CDSCO will have to see what the consequences of the trial have been in the similar countries of India.
