New Delhi: At present, the Western Disturbance is persisting over the Western Himalayan regions of North India. Due to this the circulation which was built over Rajasthan has now turned into low pressure. For this reason, due to the influence of these two systems, not only the mountains of North India, but also all the plains are reaching towards the plains.

Also, due to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal, the effect of clouds is visible over East and Northeast India at this time. There is no strong weather system towards South India. In the last 24 hours, widespread rainfall has been recorded in the hills and plains of North India. In which rain has been recorded at many places from Jammu and Kashmir to Uttarakhand and Punjab to Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. It has also rained in Maharashtra.

Snowfall in Lahaul-Spiti:

Talking about the weather for the next 24 hours, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, these three mountainous areas will be such where there will be dense cloud cover throughout the day on 23 January. There is a possibility of snowfall and rain in Kullu-Manali, Lahaul-Spiti, Shimla, Chamba, Dharamsala, Una, including Gulmarg, Qazigund, Pahalgam, Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Also, snowfall has been forecast in all high altitude areas including Katra, Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Kathua and Mata Vaishno Devi Dham.


Like in the hilly states, if we look at the plains, whether this entire region from Amritsar to Varanasi in Punjab or all the areas of Haryana, all these areas will be under the influence of clouds.

In Rajasthan, from Ajmer to Sawai Madhopur and Alwar, Bharatpur, Jhunjhunu, there will be dense clouds and there will be a possibility of rain. Rain can be seen here in the morning of 23 January. Looking towards East India, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal can see moderate to heavy rainfall at many places. Generally, such rain is not seen in eastern India at this time. Light rain can be seen in Sikkim and widespread rain in Arunachal Pradesh.
