Weather Updates: Rain alert in Delhi, IMD forecasts rainfall in many States

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that light rain may occur in the national capital on Monday evening. According to the IMD, the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.

IMD Forecast:

"The day is expected to be partly cloudy with thunderstorms expected in the afternoon or evening," an official of the Meteorological Department said. Along with this, the possibility of reaching the maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius has also been expressed. At the same time, at 8.30 am, the humidity level in the air was recorded at 54 percent.

Rain Alert:

Earlier on Saturday also the temperature of Delhi had dropped. The minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius. India Meteorological Department had given this information. The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 26.1 degree Celsius on Friday. According to a Meteorological Department official, 4.9 mm of rain was recorded till 8.30 am, while the humidity level in the morning was 63 percent.

Monsoon 2021:

The minimum temperature in the morning was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung Observatory. This is four degrees Celsius below normal temperature. Meteorologists have predicted partly cloudy sky with wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph in the afternoon and evening. The maximum temperature is likely to be 39 degree Celsius on Saturday. Due to a sudden change in the weather in the national capital on Friday evening, many areas of Delhi-NCR received rain with strong winds. Due to this, trees were uprooted at about 80 places. The people of Delhi have got relief from the heat and humidity due to the rains.
