Weather Updates: IMD issues Cold wave alert in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature in Punjab, Haryana and adjoining Rajasthan areas including Churu, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh is expected to remain at or around 1 degree today.

New Delhi: Talking about the weather systems in the country, moisture is still reaching the sky from the western side of the country in different parts. Such areas include the North-West Himalayan region and adjoining parts of Rajasthan, where clouds are reaching. Similarly, clouds are visible in the skies of Uttar Pradesh and East and Northeast India. In the areas where clouds were visible, rain has also occurred in many parts.

Weather Forecast in North India:

Rainfall up to 100 mm was recorded in the fort of Chhattisgarh. According to the India Meteorological Department, the Western Disturbance is gradually moving towards North India. It is estimated that by January 1, 2022, it will knock in the hill states of the country and then its widespread impact will be seen in many states of the country. At present, the weather is dry in the hills and plains. Clouds are visible in the southern states also due to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and the equator. Because of this, seasonal movements are being seen at some places.


No rain in Ladakh:

Talking about the weather of December 31 in North India, it may rain at some places in Gilgit and Baltistan. Apart from this, the weather is likely to remain mainly clear and dry in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, Katra, Jammu today. Similarly, there is no chance of rain in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on December 31.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature in Punjab, Haryana and adjoining Rajasthan areas including Churu, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh is expected to remain at or around 1 degree today. Similarly, the temperature which had increased towards normal in Haryana and Delhi is now falling rapidly. The temperature of the capital Delhi has come to around 3 degree Celsius.

Rain is increasing at isolated places except South Telangana and North Interior Karnataka and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. It is expected that rain will occur at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema Coastal Tamil Nadu and Interior.
