According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand along with Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir in the mountainous regions of North India on December 26. Generally, light to moderate rainfall is forecast, so there may be heavy rain at some places.

Especially, rain and snowfall are forecast at many places in this entire region including Srinagar, Kulgam, Qazigund, Gulmarg, Kullu-Manali. The Meteorological Department is also instructing tourists going on holidays in these areas to be prepared for any adverse situation. It is being instructed not to ignore the advisory of the local administration and tourist guide.

There is a possibility of rain in the next 24 hours in the mountainous areas including low-lying areas of Uttarakhand, which will intensify further. Along with this, snowfall is also being predicted.
