Weather Update: Snowfall in Ladakh, Kashmir; Rain alert in Haryana, Punjab

New Delhi: The Western Disturbance has reached the mountains of North India. The effect of which was visible from Kashmir to Uttarakhand in the form of dense clouds and rain and snow. Due to this, the effect of clouds is not visible in the remaining states of the country except Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, which are the southern areas of North India.

Weather Forecast:

From today, the effect of this disturbance will be visible up to the eastern part including the plains of the country. At present there is no weather system over South India. Today i.e. on February 3, the mountains of North India will change to the plains. The process of snowfall and heavy rain has started on the mountains.

Snowfall in Himachal, Uttarakhand:

There is a possibility of widespread rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. However, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh will see more impact today. There is a possibility of rain and snow at many places in Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Ladakh.

Clouds have started coming in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Due to these clouds, there will be rain at all places including Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar Pathankot, Fazilka, Faridkot, Barnala, Moga, Ludhiana, Patiala. In many places, including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, there is a possibility of hailstorm anywhere.

Rain in Haryana:

In Haryana also, there is a possibility of rain today from Panchkula to Ambala, Yamunanagar and in stay areas from Uttar Pradesh to Hisar, Kaithal, Sonipat, Panipat, Rohtak, Chandigarh, Gurugram, Faridabad, Nuh, Jhajjar etc. Very good clouds will also be seen in the national capital Delhi today, due to which the possibility of very good rain is being made for the next 24 to 48 hours. At present, there does not seem to be much effect on Rajasthan outside.

Talking about the western part of Uttar Pradesh, very dense clouds can be seen. Here Meerut, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Najibabad, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Gautam Budh Nagar all these parts may receive widespread rain today on February 03. Heavy rain is being forecast at many places.
