New Delhi: For the past few days, an effective Western Disturbance that we were talking about is now approaching North India. Clouds have started coming to India via Afghanistan and North Pakistan. Due to clouds, it may rain at isolated places in Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand today.

The Indian Meteorological Department has said that within 24 hours of the arrival of the disturbance, a strong circulation is going to form over Rajasthan, which will be very different for the weather in the coming days.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), till now the cold winds are blowing in other states including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha. They will change as soon as the circulation over Rajasthan becomes active. Also, from the late evening of February 2 today, clouds will start appearing in many parts of the country.

Snowfall in Himachal, Ladakh:

Looking towards the mountains of North India, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall at many places in Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand.

In Jammu and Kashmir, there is a possibility of rain and snow from Gulmarg, Kulgam, Qazigund, Pahalgam. Similarly, rain and snowfall are being predicted in Kullu-Manali, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Una, Dharamsala etc. areas of Himachal. There is also a possibility of rain in Vaishno Devi Dham.

Winters in India:

Weather will remain dry in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal on February 2. Even though there will be a change in the wind direction. The movement of clouds will continue in these three states as well. Widespread rainfall is being predicted for these three from February 3 to February 5.

In the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Assam, cloud cover and light rain are being predicted at isolated places. In the next 24 hours, the effect of clouds over the country will increase significantly. In Central India, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat, all these parts will not see any change in weather.
