Weather Update: Heavy Rain Alert in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana & Delhi

New Delhi: A Western Disturbance came over the mountains of North India on 6 February, whose effect was visible in the hill states. The new disturbance that is about to come will have its effect in the plains as well. Today i.e. on February 8, a new western disturbance will knock over the mountains of India. Due to which a circulation can be formed over Rajasthan and its adjoining parts.

Weather Update:

These disturbances will keep the weather activities intensifying for the next two-three days from the mountains to the plains. Apart from this, the effect of this disturbance will also be visible over the areas of Northeast India. No clouds are visible in the rest of the places. Weather movement is visible in South India near the equator, due to which cloud conditions are visible over South Peninsular India.

Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad and Ladakh will see rains again on February 8 due to the new disturbance and weather system in the country. There will be movement of clouds in these areas here. Apart from this, its effect will be visible up to central Pakistan and over Rajasthan. Due to which Ganganagar, Churu, Hanumangarh and Bikaner will be in this range.

Rain in Haryana:

At the same time, its effect can be seen in the form of rain from Hisar to Sirsa, Rohtak, Kaithal Jind, Rewari, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Gurugram and Delhi-NCR and Faridabad. Light rain can also be seen in Punjab. West Uttar Pradesh will also see mainly dry weather on February 8, but clouds will start appearing. Today it will be cloudy in areas up to Bareilly and Aligarh.

There is a possibility of rain in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir today. Whereas, on February 9, there is a possibility of rain in Himachal and Uttarakhand. Himachal Pradesh will be affected on both 8th and 9th February. The possibility of rain in Uttar Pradesh is being predicted on 9 February. Severe cold weather has been predicted in Uttar Pradesh in the coming two days. Similarly, in East India, the weather will remain dry in all areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal. Here the direction of the winds will be from the Bay of Bengal side.

In South India areas, the weather will remain clear and dry over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Goa in all these parts. Some cloudy skies may occur over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Puducherry. Light rain is forecast over Coastal Tamil Nadu. Rainfall is being forecast in some other parts including southern Andaman and Nicobar.
