Weather Update: Heavy rain alert in Delhi, Haryana & Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi: For the last 24 hours, rain is continuing in many states of North India. There has been a lot of rain in the capital Delhi on Sunday morning. This gave relief to the people from the heat.

Apart from this, the problem of waterlogging was faced in many areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rains in many districts of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Rain alert in Jharkhand-Bihar:

Along with this, the department said that with the advance of monsoon in the eastern part, a low pressure area has formed over West Bengal, which is likely to move westwards towards Jharkhand and Bihar. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in these states today. Delhi and Haryana will see cloudy sky and light rain for the next few hours.

According to reports, the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh till August 5 and heavy to very heavy rains in Rajasthan till August 5. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Monday.

Heavy Rain in Haryana:

Heavy rains are expected in Haryana from August 5 and in Himachal Pradesh from August 2 to 4. Rainfall is likely to reduce over Peninsular India, adjoining East Central India, Maharashtra and Gujarat in the next three-four days.

According to the Meteorological Department, some states of North and Central India are expected to receive heavy rains in the next four days. A low pressure area is also forming over East Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain here in the next three days.

Between August 1 and 2, there may be scattered and heavy rains in western Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab on August 1, Himachal Pradesh till August 2 and Uttarakhand and Haryana till August 4.
