Weather Today: Day Temperature likely to be above normal in Delhi-UP

Weather Today: With the end of Holi, the heat started showing its faces. The temperature has started increasing rapidly in most of the states of North India including the capital Delhi. The month of March is only half over, but in Rajasthan, the mercury has started reaching beyond 40 degrees. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the same increase in temperature will be seen in other states including Uttar Pradesh (UP).

IMD Forecast:

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the hot winds coming from the western region of the country, the temperature of Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh is increasing rapidly. Winds and heat wave have troubled people in western Rajasthan. The heat continues to rise in UP as well. The temperature is also rising continuously. According to IMD, the weather in UP will remain dry for the coming 10 days i.e. for the entire month of March. The maximum temperature in the state is also expected to reach close to 40 degree Celsius.

Warm winds coming from the north-west direction are reaching Uttar Pradesh via Rajasthan via Pakistan. However, there is no chance of rain in UP at the moment. In the capital Lucknow today, the maximum temperature is expected to be 38 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 22 degrees Celsius.

Even before the impact of the possible cyclonic storm Asani in the southern state, gusty winds are blowing over most parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. There are very thick clouds. Moderate to heavy rain with thunder, flashes and thunder. Similar conditions are likely to continue in the next 24 hours. Due to this system, the effect of change in the direction of winds is also visible in other areas of the south. Parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and South Karnataka are likely to receive rain today, March 20.

In East India, the weather will remain clear and dry at present over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Northeast states. Due to the effect of western disturbance, rain may occur in Arunachal Pradesh. Cloudy conditions will prevail over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad and due to these clouds, rain will also be expected.
