Weather Today: IMD forecasts Rain-Snowfall alert in Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh

Weather Today: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), today ie on March 9, an active weather system remains over the mountains of North India. Due to the arrival of Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of rain at all places in the hill states of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. On the other hand, the prevailing weather conditions in the southern parts of the country have now calmed down. Due to the Western Disturbance, dense clouds are visible over the mountains of North India.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), at present a trough is reaching from Konkan-Goa to Rajasthan. Due to which the moisture from the Arabian Sea is reaching Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan, due to which the weather activities have increased in these areas. Clouds will also be seen over Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Clouds will also be visible in these areas. Similarly, if we talk about the plains of the country, then sea winds are reaching Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh too. With this, it can be expected that some parts of Punjab and Haryana may receive moderate to heavy rain with thunder. Similarly, it can be seen between Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Budaun, Agra, Aligarh and Mathura.

The weather will remain mainly dry over North Punjab, North Haryana and Northwest parts of Uttar Pradesh. Hail also fell in Rajasthan on March 8 along with heavy rain.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of rain in some areas in Gujarat today, Wednesday. Some parts of Mahoba, Jhansi, Lakhimpur and Kanpur adjoining Madhya Pradesh may also see rain today. There is a possibility of rain in some areas in Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra also.

The weather will be mainly clear and dry over the northeastern states of the country, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal. Due to the westerly direction, a slight drop in temperature will be felt in Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya and Varanasi in East Uttar Pradesh.
