Weather Forecast: IMD issues rain alert in Delhi-UP & Punjab

The national capital Delhi and other areas of NCR have been cloudy since Wednesday. IMD has predicted light rain in Delhi and adjoining areas in two hours.

New Delhi: There is a possibility of rain in many states of the country. It may rain in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Cold has increased in Himachal Pradesh due to fresh snowfall. Snowfall is also likely in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. This information has been given by the Meteorological Department (IMD).

Rain alert in Delhi-NCR:

The national capital Delhi and other areas of NCR have been cloudy since Wednesday. IMD has predicted light rain in Delhi and adjoining areas in two hours.

The IMD has predicted rain in Delhi as well as parts of Haryana's Farukhnagar, Debai in UP's Bulandshahr, Narora, Sahaswan in Badaun and parts of Aligarh. IMD has also predicted rain in Bharatpur and Mehandipur Balaji in Rajasthan.

Snowfall in Kashmir:

The mercury is running in minus in most areas of the Kashmir Valley. The first snowfall of this winter is likely to occur in the areas of the state from the evening of 4th to 6th of this month. There is a possibility of light snowfall in the plains of Kashmir. Whereas in the higher reaches there may be heavy snowfall.

It is worth noting that according to Skymet, due to seasonal changes, the effect of cyclonic circulation is being seen in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. In such a situation, there is a possibility of light rain on December 4 and 6. At the same time, on December 5, there will be maximum rain activities. Winds will be strong. Along with this, hail can also fall in some places in North India in the morning and evening. With this, the temperature will start falling rapidly with the beginning of December and the cold winds coming from the northern Himalayas will increase the cold of Delhi.

The Indian Meteorological Department said that on December 2, there is a possibility of rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
