New Delhi: The weather can suddenly take a turn in North India. There is a chance of rain with strong thunderstorms. According to the Meteorological Department, the pressure of a cyclonic storm is building in the Bay of Bengal. The name of the cyclonic storm is Jawad. It will affect Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, while Delhi NCR, Haryana, Punjab can also be affected.

Rain alert in North India:

Due to the storm, there is a possibility of sudden heavy rain and thunderstorms, its intensity will be very high, due to which there is a possibility of damage to trees and dilapidated houses. Monsoon is coming to an end from most parts of the country including North India, but in some states there is a possibility of heavy rain in the next 24 hours. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain on October 11 and 12.

Moderate to heavy rain in South:

Light to moderate rain may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Lakshadweep, parts of Karnataka and Maharashtra till October 12. There is a possibility of rain in some parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha and Gujarat. Light rain is possible over Northeast India, Sikkim and West Bengal.

According to the Meteorological Department, Jawad will pass through Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra. During this, there will be dark clouds in the sky and there will be a possibility of strong wind. From October 17 to 18, the effect of this storm will be variable in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, NCR and Uttar Pradesh.
