New Delhi: The scorching afternoon heat in many states of the country is beginning to be felt, but the weather pattern is once again set to change. The Meteorological Department predicts the likelihood of rainfall and showers in several states of eastern and central India in the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there are prospects of rain with thunder and lightning in West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, and Odisha by March 20. There is also concern about rainfall in some areas, including Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal.

Rainfall and Thunderstorms Expected in These Regions

The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of rainfall in various parts of eastern Madhya Pradesh on March 18 and 19. Additionally, showers are expected in different areas of Chhattisgarh on March 18 and 19. During this time, there is also a possibility of lightning accompanying strong winds.

There is concern about rainfall and showers in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha as well. In Vidarbha, rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms today and tomorrow could worsen people's plight. In Bihar, there is also a possibility of sudden rainfall accompanied by strong winds between March 19 and 21.

Temperature Rise Expected in the Capital, Delhi

Along with the mountainous states, the weather in the national capital, Delhi, is also beginning to change. The Meteorological Department predicts a rapid increase in temperatures in the capital over the next few days. There is a likelihood of a rise in Delhi's temperatures by up to 2 degrees Celsius over the next 5 days.

There could also be an increase of up to three degrees Celsius in Delhi's minimum temperatures. While the temperature in the capital has been below normal in the past few days, there will be a rapid increase in heat in the coming days. Today, Delhi is expected to experience cloudy skies with a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in the capital could be around 13 degrees Celsius.

According to Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in Gangetic West Bengal by March 20, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds. There is a likelihood of light to moderate rainfall with thunder, lightning, and strong winds in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Vidarbha, and eastern Madhya Pradesh. Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh could experience rainfall by March 19. Heavy rainfall is expected in Odisha and Chhattisgarh on March 19. Light rainfall is possible in Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala, while light to moderate rainfall is expected in northeastern regions by March 22.
