We do not need Pfizer Corona vaccine: Health Minister Harsh Vardhan

NEW DELHI: Indian Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has given a big statement about the vaccine of American company Pfizer, which is considered effective in eliminating Corona virus. He says that India probably does not need the Pfizer vaccine because the country is already running a trial of five vaccines, which have yielded positive results so far.

No point of consideration of Pfizer in India:

According to media reports, Harsh Vardhan has said that there is no point in considering the Pfizer-BioNotech vaccine while the US regulatory authority itself has not given its approval. Let me tell you that the Pfizer company claims that this vaccine is effective in preventing corona virus up to 95 percent.

Corona Vaccine trials in India:

According to sources, Dr. Harsh Vardhan has cited the ongoing vaccine trials in the country and said that currently five drug trials are going on. Three of these are in the second / third phase. The Serum Institute of India and the Indian Council of Medical Research are going to trial the third phase of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

At the same time, the third phase trial of Bharat Biotech-ICMR Covaxin has started and the results of the second phase will also come soon. Cadila Health's vaccine ZyCovD has completed the Phase II trial and is awaiting results. Apart from these three vaccines, the 2/3 phase trial of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine will begin soon, for which the country's Dr Reddy Lab has tied up with Russian developers. At the same time, 1/2 trial of the Biological E vaccine of Hyderabad will also start soon.

37,975 new cases of corona virus:

According to data from the Union Health Ministry, 37,975 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the last 24 hours. During this period, the number of patients who lost their lives due to covid-19 has been 480. At the same time, the total number of corona virus infections in the country has increased to 91,77,841.
