New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today participated in the Investors Summit in Gujarat through video conferencing. In this summit, PM Modi has also launched the Vehicle Scrappage Policy.

Vehicle scrapping will help phase out unfit and polluting vehicles in environment-friendly manner, PM Modi on launch of Vehicle Scrappage Policy.

PM Modi said that this policy will play a big role in removing unfit vehicles in the country in a scientific manner. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani were also present on the occasion.

PM Modi said that due to old vehicles, old technology, the risk of road accident is very high, which will give relief. At the same time, it will reduce the impact on our health due to pollution.

A certificate will be given on scrapping the old car. The person who will have this certificate will not have to pay any money for registration on the purchase of a new vehicle. He said that some exemption in road tax will also be given from the scrap policy. We are promoting circular economy; the aim is to develop sustainable and environment-friendly economy: PM Modi.
