Dehradun: Matching the footsteps with Centre, people of Uttarakhand have made the state proud by achieving one of the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The state has become the fourth open defecation free (ODF) state in the country, an official said on Tuesday.

It could be recalled that till March, only seven districts in the state were ODF. These were, Haridwar, Paudi and Dehradun which became ODF on May 31 last, senior Minister Prakash Pant said.

He also said that ever since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government came to power in Uttarakhand, a large number of toilets had been built.
