Utkal Express derailment: Prabhu should resign, says Lalu Yadav

Patna: Accusing the Centre of being negligent towards the security of passengers, former Railway Minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday demanded Suresh Prabhu's resignation.

"How will people travel, there is no guarantee of safety. Railway Minister should resign," Lalu was quoted as saying.

It may be mentioned that at least 23 people were killed and 83 injured when 14 coaches of the Kalinga Utkal Express bound for Haridwar in Uttarakhand went off the tracks with one of the coaches mounting on another near Khatauli in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday evening.
