New Delhi: Underworld don Rajendra Nikalje AKA Chhota Rajan is still alive. He was undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi after testing positive for covid-19.

There were rumors of his death in AIIMS Delhi.

Chhota Rajan under treatment:

Underworld don Chhota Rajan has died due to corona virus infection. Chhota Rajan was admitted to AIIMS Hospital recently for treatment of covid infection. Chhota Rajan had become corona positive during his stay in Tihar Jail.

He was admitted to the hospital in the last week of April after his report came back positive. His condition remained stable for several days, but he succumbed on Friday. Chhota Rajan had more than 70 cases registered including several kidnapping and murder cases. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, convicted in the murder of senior journalist Jyotirmoy Dey of Mumbai. However, he was recently acquitted by the Special CBI Court in the case of murder of Hanif Kadawala.

Chhota Rajan was also an accused in the 1993 serial bomb blast in Mumbai. Chhota Rajan's real name was Rajendra Nikaje. In 2015, he was extradited from Indonesia to India.

On 26 April, he was taken to AIIMS for treatment with a corona infection. On April 26, a Tihar jail official had told during a case hearing that Chhota Rajan could not be brought for video conferencing. This is because he has been found corona positive and admitted to hospital.
