New Delhi: Under secretary in Home Ministry Anand Joshi, who had gone missing after Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned him, was detained for questioning on Monday morning for arbitrarily issuing Foreign Currency Regulation notices to several NGOs for financial gains..

  • He was picked up from Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi and taken to the CBI headquarters (in Delhi.
  • The official said that Joshi was trying to evade CBI questions regarding information on charges against him..
  • Joshi along with some unidentified persons has bee charged with criminal conspiracy under the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
