In a bold move to tackle poverty at its roots, Delhi's Chief Minister emphasized the pivotal role of quality education. Asserting that providing education to all children is the key to eradicating poverty within a generation, the government has been tirelessly opening schools across the city to achieve this ambitious goal.

The chief minister acknowledged the bleak state of government schools in Delhi in the past, declaring the situation as hopeless for the education of children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. However, he proudly shared the positive transformation, highlighting the inauguration of numerous schools, including those in Burari, Rohini, and Palam, which are expected to benefit 1.5 lakh children.

**Free and Quality Education for All:**

Ensuring free and quality education for every resident of Delhi is a top priority for the government. The chief minister emphasized the commitment to this cause by replacing old school buildings with new ones equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These new schools boast superior infrastructure, featuring laboratories, libraries, elevators, and activity rooms.

**Doorstep Delivery of Ration:**

The chief minister also addressed the challenges faced by his government, pointing out that a proposed scheme for the doorstep delivery of ration faced opposition from the Centre. Undeterred, he announced the imminent launch of the same scheme in Punjab, expressing confidence that it could eventually be implemented in Delhi as well.

Kejriwal criticized the hurdles created by the Centre, emphasizing that Delhi's status as a half-state complicates governance. He urged for full-state status to facilitate smoother decision-making and implementation of welfare schemes.

Expressing frustration with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the chief minister highlighted the contrasting narratives. Despite providing free electricity, healthcare, and education to the people of Delhi, he lamented being labeled a "thief." He posed a poignant question to the public, asking whether one should be considered a thief for providing essential services for free, or those who fail to do so and make these facilities expensive in other states.
