Eight lives, including that of a child, were tragically cut short on Saturday night in Uttar Pradesh when a collision between their car and a sand-laden truck on the Bareilly-Nainital highway resulted in a fiery disaster. The victims, returning from a joyous wedding celebration, found themselves in an unimaginable tragedy, unable to escape the burning car due to the central locking mechanisms that turned a routine journey into a fateful night.

The collision unfolded as the car, identified as a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, struck the sand-laden truck's dumper, causing a burst tire and sending the car careening off the opposite side of the highway. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and further action is underway."
