Thane: Three persons have been booked in Maharashtra for allegedly cheating investors to the tune of Rs 10 lakh by promising hefty returns on their investments, police said on Monday.

The accused Vinod Kadam, Ravindra Dhomse and Vaishali Patil had allegedly accepted different amounts from gullible investors at a hotel in Thane claiming that their company invests in share market, a police officer said.

The trio hailed from Solapur, Nashik and Pune.

A complaint was filed against them after the investors failed to get any returns, the officer added.

While Dhomse had identified himself as the promoter of the company, Kadam and Patil as the CMD and MD, respectively.
