New Delhi: All five members of the basic team, including CO 21-RR Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, Major Anuj Sood, Police Sub-Inspector Shakeel Qazi, a Lance Naik and a Rifleman, have been killed during the mutiny between security forces and militants in Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Defense Minister have paid tribute to the soldiers who died in the encounter.

According to the information, there is was encounter between the army and the militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Handwara since yesterday. Even today, the struggle between the two continues. The army succeeded by killing two foreign terrorists.

PM Modi tweeted, "Tributes to our courageous soldiers and security personnel martyred in Handwara. Their valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. They served the nation with utmost dedication and worked tirelessly to protect our citizens. Condolences to their families and friends."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also tweeted and wrote, "The loss of our soldiers and security personnel in Handwara(J&K) is deeply disturbing and painful. They showed exemplary courage in their fight against the terrorists and made supreme sacrifice while serving the country. We will never forget their bravery and sacrifice."

Home Minister Amit Shah also paid his tribute to those who sacrificed their lives. Amit Shah tweeted, "I bow to our soldiers and security personnel martyred while protecting our motherland during an encounter with terrorists in Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir. Nation will always remain indebted to their supreme sacrifice. My deepest condolences to their bereaved families."

Handwara Case:

Spokesperson of Handwara Police informed A team comprising of 5 Army and JK Police personnel entered the target area occupied by terrorists to evacuate the civilians. The team of Army and JK Police entered the area and successfully extricated the civilians.

he Army and the Security Force are continuously replying to the Pakistan Army and the terrorists. In this situation, the encounter between the Army and the militants took place in Handwara in the state on Sunday.
