After the inauguration of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, the docu-series 'The Battle of Ayodhya' directed by Air Force officer-turned-filmmaker Kushal Srivastava has been released on YouTube channel 'Vedshala'.

This 5-episode series will reveal the untold truth behind the Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid dispute and shed light on unheard stories. It has been made under the banner of Flying Dreams Entertainment Private Limited.

Kushal, known for directing films like KK Menon starrer 'Vodka Diaries', Kalki Koechlin's 'The Job' and Shreyas Talpade's 'Speed Dial', has now brought this docu-series. The series depicts the 500-year long struggle in Ayodhya, which challenged India's justice system, politics, culture and socio-economic fabric, while also connecting with the soul of every Indian.

Kushal said, “Driven by extensive research, never-before-seen records and first-hand experiences of key personalities, this docu-series delves deep into the struggle for Ayodhya Ram Temple and Babri Masjid. It touches the soul of every Indian. and promises a compelling exploration of a defining chapter in the nation's history. In today's times, through a compelling story and an unbiased stance, we deliver a profound lesson on the importance of co-existence".

The docu-series features Ravi Shankar Prasad, former Union Minister of Law and Justice, Rahul Srivastava (journalist and commentator), Vinay Katiyar (founder of Bajrang Dal), Ranjana Agnihotri (senior advocate), Iqbal Ansari (lead plaintiff in the case), Acharya Contains testimonies from Satyendra Das (chief priest of Ram temple), KK Muhammad (archaeologist) and many other prominent personalities.

Produced by Sarit Aggarwal and Kushal Srivastava, this documentary has been shot extensively in Ayodhya, Lucknow, Delhi and Mumbai.
