New Delhi: The Delhi Police, on Wednesday, registered an FIR against the viral content website ScoopWhoop co-founder Suparn Pandey in a sexual harassment and assault case.

The Vasant Kunj Police Station has booked Suparn under Sections, 354 A (sexual harassment), 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A former employee of the company has accused Pandey of repeatedly harassing her for two years in between 2015 and 2017.

She, in her complaint, also said that two co-founders did nothing despite being made aware of the problem.

The complainant said that Pandey used to send her obscene videos and even passed offensive remarks to her on numerous occassions.

She was quoted by Catch News as saying, "Mr Suparn Pandey in public commented on my sexuality and this comment included calling me a names [sic.] which reflected on my sexual orientation and my sexual preferences [sic.] as well as characterised me in a certain way."
