Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Kokrajhar and Assam is all set to welcome him. The kakrajhar was illuminated with 70 thousand earthen lamps on Thursday evening as a mark of respect to the prime minister Narendra Modi.

According to schedule PM will address lakhs of people today.

PM Modi thanked the people of Kakrajhar and shared his gratitude through social media. Narendra Modi tweeted, "Lovely and lively! Gratitude to my sisters and brothers of Kokrajhar."

PM Modi to visit Assam today to celebrate the signing of historic Bodo Peace Accord. Prime Minister informed about his visit to Kakrajhar on his social media account.

He wrote, "Tomorrow, I look forward to being in Assam. I will be in Kokrajhar to address a public meeting. We will mark the successful signing of the Bodo Accord, which brings to an end a problem that had been persisting for decades. It marks the start of a new era of peace and progress."
