New Delhi: The special leave of 90 days will be granted to central government female employees, those who have been a victim of sexual harassment at the workplace.

New Delhi: The special leave of 90 days will be granted to central government female employees, those who have been a victim of sexual harassment at the workplace. The order has been pronounced by Department of Personnel and Training.

Under Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act 2013, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) stated, "90 days paid leave will be given to the aggrieved women during the pendency of the inquiry."

  • The leave granted to female government servant 'shall not be debited against the leave account'.
  • The leave will only be given on the directions of internal committee or the local committee looking into the matter.

The move came after a number of cases of sexual harassment and threatening were filed by the female employees at their workplaces.
