Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad boards train after airlines refuse ticket

New Delhi: Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad, who on Thursday thrashed an elderly Air India employee with slippers, was on Friday forced to travel through train to Mumbai after all the airlines refused to give him a plane ticket.

According to the reports, Gaikwad travelled in August Kranti Rajdhani Express to reach Mumbai. On his way, when reporters tried to question him about the tussle in Air India flight, he refused to comment. He said, "Now, only Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will speak over the incident."

It may be mentioned that earlier in the day, while speaking at a news channel, Gaikwad had claimed, "I have the return ticket of a flight scheduled to depart at 4 pm and I will travel in the same flight only. If anyone tries to stop me, I will create ruckus."

Despite being criticised by all sections of the society as well as politics, Gaikwad refused to apologise for hitting Air India official R Sukumar with his slippers, and even threatened to lodge a defamation case against Air India.

Significantly, Air India has lodged two FIRs against Ravindra Gaikwad and now Delhi Police's crime branch will investigate the matter.
