Serum Institute of India to start production of Sputnik V from September

New Delhi: Serum Institute will manufacture Russia's Sputnik vaccine from September, under which 300 million doses will be produced every year.

It is worth noting that RDIF (Russian Direct Investment Fund) and Serum Institute, the world's largest vaccine maker in terms of quantity, will start production of Russia's vaccine Sputnik in the company from September.

Sputnik V production in India:

According to the information, the process of technology has started for this. The cultivation process has been started after the approval of the Drug Controller General of India. Together, both sides will manufacture 30 crore Sputnik vaccines in the country in a year. The first batch of vaccine is expected to arrive in September 2021.

Adar Poonawalla, Head, Serum Institute of India, said, "I am extremely happy to partner with RDIF for the production of the Sputnik vaccine. We expect to make millions of doses in the coming months. Trial batches will start from the month of September. '

Dr Reddy's Laboratories Limited has offered Russia's covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V in more than 50 cities and towns of the country. Dr Reddy's Laboratories had offered this vaccine in a simple manner on 14 May and now this pilot project has been expanded to more than 50 cities and towns. The company said in a tweet on Monday night that it will be expanding Sputnik V more in the coming weeks.
