Bengaluru: In yet another dictate by a private school, a kindergarten student was allegedly expelled out of the school because he sported a ponytail.

St Vincent Pallotti School on June 6 expelled Vishnu BM for keeping a pony. Principal Fr Paul D'Souza told him that rules did not allow boys to sport ponytails.

"We requested the principal to allow us to keep it, but he did not listen to us," said Manjunath, the father.

The school had returned fees of Rs 43,000.

Parents begged to the principal but he refused.
