New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat met an accident after his car was hit by his security escort vehicle in Delhi on Friday morning.

The accident happened at the Dhaula Kuan red light point while Bhagwat was on his way to the airport. He, however, escaped unhurt.

The security officials present with bhagwat said that his car was hit by his security vehicle due to the impact on it after a car hit the escort car from behind while the RSS leader was his way to the airport to take a flight to Gorakhpur.

The RSS chief left in his private vehicle to the airport from the accident spot, security sources stated further confirming that no one was hurt in the incident.

RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav later tweeted Bhagwat's well being. "Bhagwat Ji is perfectly ok and left on his tour. Due to the impact of crash the security vehicle was pushed forward n slowly pushed Bhagwat Ji's vehicle. Nothing happened to Mohanji," he said in his tweets.

It is worth mentioning that the mishap took place a day after BJP leader and Union Minister Gopinath Munde died in a car accident on his way to the airport here only.
