Rising Himachal Global Investors Meet: PM to inaugurate conference

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Himachal Pradesh's first global investor conference on Thursday. The name for investor meet is Rising Himachal Global Investors Meet. This investor meet will continue for two days i.e. from 7 to 8 November. PM Modi will reach Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh by 11 am, where the conference will be inaugurated.

Investors from India and abroad will participate in this two-day conference, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

Apart from PM Narendra Modi, this global investor conference will be attended by Union Minister Prahlad S. Patel, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Thamang, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar, and Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey.

Apart from this, several industrialists have reached the conference along with Pranav Adani of Adani Enterprises, Madhusudan Gopalan, Managing Director of Procter & Gamble, and Sunil Kant Munjal of Heera Corporate Service.

It is to be mentioned that this conference will showcase investment opportunities in 8 major sectors, including, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Tourism, Hotels, Civil Aviation, Hydroelectricity and Renewable Energy. Investment opportunities will be showcased in these 8 sectors. An investment proposal of about 82 thousand crores will be approved in this conference. So far 583 MoUs have been signed.

According to the information, this conference is expected to invest Rs 27,812 crore from 15 MoUs from energy, Rs 13,682 crore from 207 MoUs from industry, 14,955 crore from 192 MoUs for tourism, 32 MoUs from housing. The Himachal government is hoping that about 2.5 million people can get employment from this investment.

Talking about security arrangements, 2400 personnel have been deployed in the city. The city is divided into 18 sectors. At the same time, tight security arrangements have been made in the city. Police personnel have been deployed in every corner.
