Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the country's first Namo Bharat (RapidX) train from Sahibabad RapidX station on Friday. After this, the PM took the ticket and traveled in train. Travel has started for the common people from 6 am on Saturday. To travel from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot station, passengers will have to spend Rs 50, although the minimum fare will be only Rs 20.

To go from Sahibabad to Duhai depot, you will have to pay a fare of Rs 100. Children up to 90 cm height will be able to travel free with their family members. Each passenger will be able to take luggage up to 25 kg with him. Trains will run from 6 am to 11 pm.

The train will not go to Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut only but to the entire NCR cities. NCRTC plans to run RapidX trains on a total of eight corridors in two phases. In its first phase, apart from the Delhi-Meerut corridor, the operation of trains is to be started by building two more corridors from Delhi to Alwar via Gurugram and from Delhi to Panipat. The alignment process has been started on the Delhi to Gurugram corridor.

After the first phase, there will be five corridor for the second phase.

In the second phase, work on Delhi-Faridabad-Palwal Corridor, Ghaziabad-Khurja Corridor, Delhi-Bahadurgarh-Rohtak Corridor, Ghaziabad-Hapur Corridor, Delhi-Shahdara-Baraut Corridor will start. With the completion of both the phases, five districts of UP Ghaziabad, Meerut, Khurja, Hapur and Baghpat will be connected by RapidX corridor.

Travellers can purchase the ticke through mobile application, ticket counter and ticket wending machine. Traveller will get a QR code on his mobile phone which he will have to scan on station's scanner. After scanning, traveller will can enter on platform. A luggage verification will be done by the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force. After completing these processes travellers can enter in train.
