Ram Nath Kovind files nomination for Presidential election

here, on Friday, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states. He submitted the papers at Parliament house accompanied by leaders of political parties who are backing him.

Ram Nath Kovind files nomination for Presidential election

New Delhi: BJP-led NDA Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind filed his nomination for the Presidential election, to be held on July 17 election, here, on Friday, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states.

He submitted the papers at Parliament house accompanied by leaders of political parties who are backing him.

After filing the nomination the NDA Presidential candidate pledged to uphold the dignity of the country's top constitutional post.

He stated, "The President's post carries a lot of dignity. And I promise I will always uphold the dignity of this office."

He added that the Constitution is supreme and it is our duty to maintain its supremacy.

Kovind underlined that he has had no party affiliation ever since he became the Governor of Bihar.

Kovind filed his nomination papers in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states.
