Ram Lalla: Controversy Surrounds Leaked Idol Image Ahead of Ayodhya Temple Consecration

Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, expressed strong dissatisfaction as an image of the new Ram Lalla idol surfaced online before the consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22. The leak has caused panic among officials, leading to considerations of taking action against the responsible parties.

Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das criticized the premature revelation of the Ram Lalla idol image, asserting that such leaks disrupt the sanctity of the consecration rituals. He emphasized that the idol's eyes should not be visible until the prana pratishtha is performed and called for an investigation to identify those responsible.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is contemplating taking legal action against the individuals involved in leaking the photo of Ram Lalla, suspecting the involvement of officials engaged in the temple construction.

The viral image on social media features the 51-inch black stone idol sourced from Karnataka, carved by sculptor Arun Yogiraj of Mysuru. In the photo, Ram Lalla stands adorned with a garland of roses, revealing the idol's eyes before the scheduled consecration ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the pran-pratishtha ceremony on January 22, marking the consecration of the Lord Ram idol. The subsequent public opening of the Ram temple is anticipated on January 23.

The consecration ceremony, set to begin at 12:20 pm, will conclude by 1 pm, followed by Prime Minister Modi addressing a gathering of over 7,000 attendees. The event is poised to draw widespread viewership, with lakhs expected to watch the proceedings live on television.
