Apart from these two appointments, Lt Gen. Bipin Rawat has been appointed the new chief of Army Staff, while Air Marshal BS Dhanoa will take charge as the new chief of Air Staff.

The new IB chief, currently serving as the Special Director in the IB, will take charge from January 1 after the incumbent Dineshwar Sharma will complete his two-year tenure on December 31.
