Ashish Prabhakar was an additional superintendent of police in the ATS. He was found dead along with the unidentified woman inside a locked car with bullet injuries on their foreheads.

Reportedly, the officer had already notified the police control room to monitor a suspicious SUV at the incident spot. He committed suicide later.

The Rajasthan ATS officer, in his suicide note, claimed that he was being harassed by a few people, including the killed woman. He also mentioned a few contact numbers as well as Facebook profiles.

Their dead bodies were taken for post-mortem after the initial investigation by forensic experts. The preliminary probe suggests both had a heated argument before the incident.

It is to be recalled that Prabhakar was a key member of the team which arrested Mohammad Sirajuddhin, who was seen as an ISIS sympathiser.

Prabhakar had joined field duties at the Rajasthan Police Academy recently.
