New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday accepted the recommendation of the Parliamentary committee, for delivering speeches only in Hindi by dignitaries including President, Prime Minister and other senior ministers. The same would be applied to those who are able to read and speak Hindi.

Mukherjee also accepted other recommendations including usage of Hindi on Air India tickets, having Hindi magazines and newspapers for passengers etc. This will be followed only to the state-owned airline.

It also rejected few recommendations including mandatory use of Hindi for correspondence in public shareholding companies and all private companies in order to provide information of their products in Hindi.

According to the President's order, the government and semi-government organisations will have to mention the names of products in Hindi.
