New Delhi: Well-known veteran sprinter Milkha Singh is not keeping well. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself spoke to former Indian athlete Milkha Singh and inquired about his health.

PM Modi talks to Milkha Singh:

The PM has wished him a speedy recovery. Along with this, the Prime Minister expressed hope that he would be back soon and would bless as well as inspire the athletes participating in the Tokyo Olympics.

Sprinter Milkha Singh, who has made his mark in the hearts of people by the name of Flying Sikh, is currently hospitalized. In fact, in view of the decreasing oxygen level, he was admitted to the ICU of PGI Hospital, Chandigarh on Thursday.

Milkha Singh health updates:

According to a statement issued by the hospital, Milkha Singh was admitted to the ICU of covid Hospital, PGIMER at 3:35 pm due to falling oxygen levels. He has been kept under observation and his condition is stable now.

Let us inform that Milkha Singh was admitted to the hospital on Monday (May 24) after being found corona positive on 19 May. Two days later, his wife was also admitted to the same hospital after coming positive in the covid-19 test. The couple's son and famous golfer Jeev Milkha Singh had moved from Dubai to Chandigarh last Saturday while his elder sister Mona Milkha Singh, a doctor in the US, had also reached here a few days back.
