PM Modi releases Commemorative Coin on Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti

New Delhi: On the occasion of Lohri and 352nd birth anniversary of 10th Sikh master, Guru Gobind Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin on Sunday.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was also present at the event.

After releasing a commemorative coin, PM Modi also addressed a gathering on the occasion. While addressing a gathering, PM Modi said that the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots will be get justice.

It is to be mentioned that on January 5, 2017, Prime Minister attended 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh in Patna.

Apart from commemorative coin, PM Modi also released a commemorative postage stamp to mark the occasion.

To mark the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, Golden Temple and other gurdwaras witnessed religious fervor. Devotees thronged gurdwaras in the early morning chill to offer prayers.

Punjab Governor V P Singh Badnore and Chief Minister Amarinder Singh greeted people on the occasion of Lohri and birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh.
