New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today participated in the Atmanirbhar Nari Shakti Samvad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Atmanirbhar Narishakti se Samvad' through video conferencing.

In this program, Prime Minister Modi interacted with women members of 'women self-help groups' associated with Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission.

During this, PM Modi said that the way our sisters served the countrymen through self-help groups in Corona is unprecedented. Be it making masks and sanitizers, delivering food to the needy, awareness work, the contribution of your Sakhi groups has been incomparable in every way.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released financial assistance to Women Self Help Groups (SHGs). During this, PM Modi said that our government provided more help to women SHGs than the previous governments. We opened bank accounts for women and provided loans to SHGs without guarantee.

PM Modi says 'Visionary programmes such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao intended for women's empowerment and reliance.' In this event a short audio-visual presentation on women self-help group's development was also presented.

Prime Minister Mosi released capitalisation support funds of Rs 1,625 crore to more than 4 lakh SHGs. He also released Rs 25 crore as seed money for 7,500 Self Help Group members under the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme. The scheme of the ministry of food processing industries and Rs 4.13 crore as funds to 75 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) also promoted under this mission.
