Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoured with Rashtra Rishi title

Haridwar: It was all exchange of praises between the two big names from different fields, when they came together for a cause to benefit the common people of the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after offering prayers at the Kedarnath shrine, on Wednesday, went to inaugurate the Patanjali Research Institute, a project of Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, in Haridwar. The Yoga Guru and the Prime Minister were seen applauding each other and throughout the function.

While PM Modi stated that Baba Ramdev was serving the nation by promoting Yoga, the Indian premier was honoured by the title of 'Rashtra Rishi' by the Yoga Guru.

The Prime Minister was further described as the 'Vishwa Nayak' (Leader of the world) and 'Rashtra Gaurav' (Pride of the country).

The Prime Minister also did not leave any chance to appreciate the work of Ramdev in the field of Yoga. He said, "I congratulate Ramdev for popularising Yoga and bringing it to the people. I can say it confidently that we will not ignore or forget the heritage that we have been historically proud of."

What else PM Modi said:

• Preventive healthcare needs to be stressed on.
• We all have to decide and pledge 'Mai gandagi nahin karunga' (I pledge to maintain cleanliness).
• Children too have started endorsing my Swachch Bharat mission.
• I congratulate Ramdev for popularising Yoga and bringing it to the people.
• I can say it confidently that we will not ignore or forget the heritage that we have been historically proud of.
• Our ancestors had toiled hard for innovations.
• I feel fortunate to be with all of you like a family member.
• I don't have faith in myself, but I have immense faith in the people of India.
• PM Modi greets people of Uttarakhand and all others present on the stage.
• We have a PM who has devoted his entire life for the nation. There is nothing except India that matters to PM.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a 'Rashtra Gaurav' and 'Vishwa Nayak' who has made India very proud at the world stage.

• It could be mentioned that the research institute is a project of Yog Guru Baba Ramdev.
• The institute will be India's first organisation to conduct clinical trials as per international standards in the field of Ayurveda.
• Its research work will include clinical control trial, drug screening, pharmacognosy, drug discovery, drug standardisation, drug safety, chronic diseases study, and pharmacology.
