The world's grandest Ram temple is being built in Ayodhya with Rajasthani stones. Apart from these stones, now another connection between Lord Ram and Rajasthan is going to be added.

Shri Ram pillars will be installed at 290 places wherever Lord Rams had gone during his exile from Ayodhya to Rameshwaram. The verses written in four languages on these pillars, which are 15 feet high and weigh 12 tonnes, will tell the entire story of the exile.

These pillars are being built in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. Behind this unique initiative is the 40 years of hard work by devotee of Lord a Rama.

These pillars are being made at a marble factory located in Mavli Industrial Area of Sirohi district of Rajasthan. The work of carving the pillars have been going in full swing and the sound of chisels, hammers, grinding of stones and cutting machines could be heard by anyone who visited the place.

In a big hall, artisans were doing polishing work on red stone. On the other side, cutting was going on with big machines. Here we met the director of the unit, Kiran Trivedi.

Kiran Trivedi says that till date we have carved artworks and sculptures for many temples, but the work of construction of Shri Ram Stambh is very important for us. We do not want to leave any stone unturned in this. The entire work is being done under the supervision of the most experienced craftsmen.

The construction of one pillar has just been completed in the factory, as it is to be installed first. This pillar will be installed on Mani Parvat in Ayodhya on 30 September. The remaining pillars will be constructed after this. They say that these pillars will be installed at those places through which Lord Shri Ram passed during his exile. For this we made four artworks. In the end the work was completed on what was finalized. This pillar is now ready and is being sent to Ayodhya.
