Driving gets expensive: Petrol price hikes by Rs. 1.39, diesel gets Rs. 1.04 costlier

New Delhi: Prices of Petrol and Diesel have been increased by Rs 1.29 per litre and Rs 0.97 a litre respectively, effective from Sunday midnight.

Government had slashed the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 1.46 and Rs 1.53 respectively on Nov 15.

The prices in Delhi, after the hike, will cost as under:

Petrol: Rs 70.23 per litre

Diesel: Rs 57.65 per litre

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL) revise rates on 1st and 16th of every month based on average international price in the previous fortnight.
