People wanting ‘Azadi’ should leave India, suggests Gautam Gambhir

New Delhi: Former Indian openers Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag, who used to take on the opponents' bowlers with utmost aggression, launched a scathing attack – off the field – on those who abused and misbehaved with Indian security forces.

Gambhir took to Twitter expressing his anger as he said that 'every slap an Indian soldier suffers, should be compensated with at least 100 jihadi lives'. He also asked the people demanding 'azadi' to leave Kashmir immediately, as it belongs to India.

On the other hand, Virender Sehwag, who has been very vocal on the social issues, described the alleged violence against the CRPF jawans as 'unacceptable'. Calling for instant prohibition on such activities, he said that 'there's a limit to misbehaviour' against the armed forces.

Both the cricketers were responding to a viral video, which could not be verified, that allegedly shows a section of people of Kashmir kicking and manhandling the paramilitary jawans.

Batting strongly for Kashmir, Gambhir further added that our tricolor flag also stands for: saffron - fire of our anger, white - shroud for jihadis, green - hatred 4 terror.
