A grand Ram temple is being built in Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Ram. The consecration ceremony is scheduled to take place on 22 January.

As the Ram Temple is being built by the donations given by the people, it is only natural to be curious about the state from where maximum donations have been received.

According to the reports, the maximum donation for building Ram temple in Ayodhya has been given by the people of Gujarat and not from Uttar Pradesh. A grand temple of Lord Ram is under construction in Ayodhya with the donations from the devotees of Lord Rama and the first floor is completely ready, in which the idol of Ramlala will be installed.

According to the information given on the website of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the name of Morari Bapu is at the top in the list of those who have donated the most for the Ram temple. Morari Bapu, who comes from Gujarat, has donated Rs 11.3 crore for the Ram temple. Morari Bapu was not only born in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, but even today he lives there with his family. Apart from this, his followers from America, Canada and Britain have also collectively donated Rs 8 crore separately.

Among those who donated to the grand Ram temple being built in Ayodhya, there is a businessman from Gujarat who has given the highest donation after Morari Bapu. Yes, Gujarat's diamond businessman Govindbhai Dholakia has donated Rs 11 crore for the construction of Ram temple. As part of the fund collection campaign, he had handed over a check of Rs 11 crore to the trust for the construction of Ram temple.

Champat Rai, trustee of the Trust, said that donations worth more than Rs 5500 crore have been received so far for the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya and donations are still being received. Those who donated for the Ram temple include former President Ram Nath Kovind and the general public.
