Patanjali Ayurveda owned by Yoga Guru Ramdev has chalked out an ambitious expansion plan which includes investment of Rs 1300 crores in the north-eastern state of Assam by the end of the current calendar year.

New Delhi: Patanjali Ayurveda owned by Yoga Guru Ramdev has chalked out an ambitious expansion plan which includes investment of Rs 1300 crores in the north-eastern state of Assam by the end of the current calendar year.

Ii will provide direct job opportunity to about 5000 persons. As many as one lakh farmers will benefit from the plan in the region which is economically backward.

The company has proposed to set a herbal and mega food park in Assam the foundation stone for which was laid by chief minister ,Sarbananda Sonowal , at Balipada on Tuesday. It is likely to be ready by February next.

Yoga Guru has also proposed to set up skill development centres at a number of schools in the state which has recently elected Bhartiya Janata Party to power, ending long Congress rule.
